Becoming your Best Self

> SECTION III. Building On Your Personality (Application)

> Becoming your Best Self

If you want to be all you can be in life, you must choose to commit to the entire process of personal development, not just the convenient parts that appeal to you. Becoming your best self means becoming charactered. Character is essentially anything we learn to think, feel, or do that is initially unnatural and requires an effort to develop. It is predominately character, not personality, that determines the quality of our lives.

Building your character – or the strengths that you personally stretch to acquire outside of your BLUE Core – will improve your life and your ability to create more successful personal and professional relationships. This section is specifically designed to help you work on becoming more charactered. However, before you can move to that level, you must first work on strengthening your self-awareness and “being you” more consistently. This is defined by a concept we call congruence.

Chris - enjoyed your blog on Character today! I don't think that truer words have ever been spoken. Character is what everyone needs but not everyone has character.

Chris,
Good blog. I have seen two great video clips in Youtube, which need not be directly connected with what you are talking, but may definitely of interest to you. It is about personal development. Watch it with an open mind. You will enjoy it.

Great Blog!!
It reminded me of a quote I once read..."Ability may take you to the top, but it takes character to stay there."

Chris I've enjoyed looking over your blog. Unfortunately I checked it while I didn't have a ton of time but I will be back to learn more. What I've checked out so far seems really interesting. It's nice to see a very professional blog. Good Job.
