> Filters Can Impact Your Core Personality

Remember that despite this remarkably accurate personality indicator, which labels you with a color designation, you will always remain uniquely yourself. Numerous “filters” provide opportunities for self-expression within each of the four color quadrants. For example, consider intro-versus-extroversion. Some BLUES are introverted (their best energy comes from being alone) while other BLUES are more extroverted (their best energy comes during interaction with others). Other factors which are less significant than Core Motive, but certainly relevant in creating your unique personality, include: intelligence, random or sequential thinking, birth order (first born and only-children are often taught to act RED), gender (there are as many YELLOW men as there are YELLOW women but their gender impacts how they play out their “yellowness” as well as how others perceive them), family environment (some colors are valued while others are not – for instance, a family culture is WHITE and therefore the children feel they need to act WHITE in order to be accepted), and cultural forces. These are a few of the variables that impact the most central element of your personality—your driving Core Motive.
